I’ve spent the last 6 years of my life creating and developing my trading system. It’s taken me well over 10,000+ hours of blood, sweat and tears to get my system to where it is today.

But, far from it being complicated or full of indicators, it is unbelievably simple.

Before I tell you anymore I’m going to have to bust a myth here...

There’s a myth in trading that, for something to be better or more profitable, it’s got to be “fancier” or use the “latest and greatest” technology.

This is simply untrue and something that many new traders get confused with. I’m going to prove this to you right now.

During the last 6 years that it’s taken me to develop my system... I’ve seen, tried and tested pretty much everything there is in Forex. Whenever I discovered something new - I tested it.

I kept what worked and threw away what didn’t. I’ve had highs and lows throughout my journey - but there is one thing that has stayed constant...

The only thing that never changed was: The things that worked were always SIMPLE.

Whenever I introduced some new “indicator” or “fancy” technology to the system as I developed it - the system always took a step back.

But then I’d see very simple things in the markets as I watched and tested them and I’d think,“how can that improve the system?… it’s too simple!”... But then...

It was evolving and improving all the time... and the best thing was... it was not getting any more complicated... in fact, it was getting simpler!

I was excited for two reasons...

#1 - I had a system that was making consistent profits.

#2 - It wasn’t me that was making the money... it was the system!

I remember long ago, when I was very frustrated with Forex, I gave up believing that a system could make money.

More than 6 years on from that and my trading account tells a very different story. But the development of my system didn’t just end there.

My system didn’t use any indicators - just simple charts with nothing on them. I had my rules for the system and applied them to the chart I was watching. I knew the rules inside-out and back-to-front.

I could clearly see it was the system that was making money and not just me “thinking” that it was the system. The rules were absolutely black-and-white.

Once I realised this I then knew it was possible develop my system even further than it already was.

I had a plan... Instead of following the charts manually and applying the rules in my head - I was going to take my system to the next level! I had enough programming skills to know that I could do it myself.

So I set about developing my system into something that anyone could trade. Like I said, I knew the system inside-out, so it didn’t take me too long. I had it up and running fairly quickly.

I started testing it live right away. It worked exactly as expected!

It was providing exactly the same low-risk, high-probability trades as before - except I didn’t have to think about anything. I just waited for the system to tell me when to enter and exit and I’d just collect the pips.

So, after 6 years, thousands upon thousands of hours of development and custom programming of the system it now really was as good as I could get it.

As I continue to trade it right now, gathering more knowledge of markets and seeing other “systems” out there, I still cannot seem to improve on the already impressive results I get.

But you know what? I’m happy with that!

I’m an improvement junkie though... I just can’t help wanting to improve anything andeverything. My system is as good as I can get it right now so I’m now trying to improve something else...
